After much prayer, conversation, and consideration, Chris and I feel our time in Thailand is drawing to a close.  We will complete the academic school year at Chiang Rai International Christian School. Chris is still serving as the elementary school principal and our kids are in the 10th and 6th grade.  In June 2022 we will move to the United States- plus our oldest son, Eric will be married June 18!

We will to continue to serve as missionaries with Go To Nations (GTN) at their world headquarters in the equipping department helping to raise up the next generation of missionaries.  This means we will be living in Jacksonville, FL.

We have been living on the Asian mission field since 2004.  We knew this day would eventually come.  It is truly bittersweet as we love being missionaries in Asia; however, we are confident this is God’s next step for us.

Looking back on nearly two decades of missionary ministry in Asia:
-served in two nations, 10 years in the Philippines and 8 years in Thailand, having to learn two languages and cultures.
-raised a family of 4 kids, with 2 of them (Eric and Faith) now living in America.
-engaged in the transformational ministry of Christian education: in the Philippines, starting the Sonshine Learning Center, a preschool for street children and overseeing a child sponsorship/scholarship program; in Thailand, by teaching and serving as elementary principal at Chiang Rai International Christian School.
-equipped national church leaders by traveling throughout Asia (China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong) making several trips to these nations, teaching in Bible schools, working with the Underground Church (in China and Vietnam).
-empowered new and veteran missionaries as GTN team leaders in both the Philippines and Thailand.
-directed the GTN Timothy Internship program, trained over 100 interns, of which 50% are now full time missionaries.

Regarding internships, a big part of our role when we move to the States will be expanding this program. We directed 6 internships in the Philippines and 6 internships in Thailand. This caused both the Philippine and Thailand teams to grow. We will be establishing and overseeing internships in other parts of the world so that GTN teams in Europe, Africa, and Latin America can also see this growth. Truly the harvest is plentiful and the workers are few.  Our vision is to raise up more workers to go into the harvest field.

Please hold us tight in prayer as we finish our time in Asia, and also pray that God opens doors as we make this transition back to our home country.

I am doing a new thing, now it springs forth,
I will make way. Isaiah 43:19

Two more kids and nearly two decades later, our family in Thailand. It has been a life-changing journey.

Changing Lives Who Will Change Nations

You may recall we have been directing missionary internships for 15 years. We recently completed the first ever Go To Nations (GTN) Timothy Internship Program in the United States (Jacksonville, FL). Five new missionaries were equipped and empowered, they have been filled up and are ready to be sent out! ...

Can You Change the World from a Desk?

A common refrain heard on cop shows and action movies, "I don't want to be stuck behind a desk, I want to be on the street where the action is!" Can you change the world from a desk? In a single day I (Dave) had meetings "in" the Philippines, Nepal, the Ukraine, Poland, Guyana, AND the United States, all while sitting at my desk. In February we were promoted as the Vice Presidents of Equipp...

Empowering the Next Generation

A big step in becoming a missionary with Go To Nations is the Timothy Internship Program . This is a 10 week boot camp that prepares you for full time missionary service in a foreign country. I call it a missionary factory. Chris and I were directors of this internship in the Philippines, Thailand, and the US. Recently I traveled to the Philippines to equip and empower Jeff Weimert  and Ryan Hull  to be the directors of the ...
